Man Ray was an American born, French photographer. He was a painter for 35 years but always enjoyed photography and once said it was like living two lives and he was also known for his sculptures. He used black and white film and was one of the first people to do so. For a long time he studied photograms and eventually make many of them, including shorts films using them. His first major work was a patchwork, neither photography or painting, and was influenced by Picasso and cubism.
Man Ray was fond of his chess sets that he had made himself and used them a lot in his photographs and paintings. Often in his portraits work, if he wasnt using the chess board he would use different props too make the images more interesting.

She enjoys working with people from all different disciplines such as graphics, photographers, cooks and other areas. She works alone and with groups to get their opinions on facts or her work.
Brian Griffin
He started and still uses a film camera for over 40 years, although he was this experience he only has a diploma and not a university degree. The reason for this is because when he was younger his family were not supportive and did not encourage him to take up a career in photography, but he still decided to complete a diploma in photography and once he had done that he travelled, which inspired him too take alot of documentary styled images of whatever he came across.
He has many inspirations, two of them bing Tony Ray Jones, Casper David Fredreick and Barney Bubbles, he said they inspired him and thinks everybody could take some kind of influence from him. He had work with Barney Bubbles on many of his portraits as he illustrated them and also took many portraits of him in his flat using items that he found around. Although his lighting and many studio parts were made by himself as he didnt have alot of money. He always knew that he wanted to be a photographer and even though he knew this is took alot of time for people to acknowledge him and his work.
